Bad Girls Go to Sturgis

I am currently working on an adult murder mystery, which takes place in Sturgis, South Dakota during Bike Week. My husband and I have been there three times for the rally and hope to return this year. We have met so many interesting people and come home with so many stories that I thought I would use them as a springboard for a novel.

Maria Kennedy, my main character, is looking for information about a teenage girl who went to Sturgis the previous year and ended up dead of a drug overdose. Maria’s search results in encounters with tattoo artists, urban bikers, and motorcycle gangs. So far I have about 140 pages in print, but I have a long way to go!

Power Plays

Power Plays tells the story of Jessie McIntyre, a fourteen year old girl who has recently moved from Saskatoon to Estevan. Jessie has gotten off on the wrong foot with the girls in her new school, and she needs to find a peer group — fast. She finds new friends on the Estevan Xtreme, a bantam girls hockey team.

Hello, friends!

I am about to embark on a great new adventure in the world of publishing. My first book, Power Plays, will be on the market in just a few months. If you’re a fan of girls hockey, I hope you’ll read it!
